What is a cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency is a type of digital financial asset created and accounted for in a distributed digital transaction registry by participants of this registry in accordance with the rules for maintaining a registry of digital transactions. To be more precise, it is the mean of payment, an alternative to money, which, when accessed, uses cryptography and which circulate within a certain system, namely the blockchain. At the same time, the participants of the system in which it operates (for example, the bitcoin blockchain) themselves issue cryptocurrency, while ordinary money (ruble, dollar, etc.) is issued by the states.
